Kimi Raikkonen struggling to make sense of his Ferrari in Montreal
Kimi Raikkonen said he "couldn’t make any sense" of his Ferrari during Friday practice for the Canadian Grand Prix after finishing the FP2 over a second off the pace.
Ferrari’s Sebastian Vettel was 0.257s off Lewis Hamilton’s best time, but a DRS issue left Raikkonen a further 0.765s off his team-mate and eighth fastest overall. Raikkonen said he struggled to get to grips with his car throughout the two sessions, but is hoping to apply Friday’s lessons to making the car quicker for qualifying.
"It was far from an ideal day but we just struggled a bit and couldn’t make any sense of the car," he said. "We want to make the car handling better and we didn’t manage to do so.
"It’s one of those days when you keep changing but it doesn’t work exactly as you hoped. We tried many things and we have to go through them and pick the right thing for tomorrow."
